Welcome to the CasinoScout.io About Us page. Here we explain why we started this site in 2021, who writes and reviews the content, and how we keep our recommendations independent of the casinos we cover. Why We Started CasinoScout.io
CasinoScout.io launched in 2021 with a simple aim: scout out the best online casinos for Australian players, so they don’t have to. At the time, most information available to Aussie players about offshore casinos was scattered, outdated, or written by the casinos themselves. Marketing pages told players what operators wanted them to hear, not what they needed to know before depositing real money.
We set out to build something different: a single, independent source that actually tests casinos rather than repeating their marketing claims. That meant creating real accounts, making real deposits, and playing real games, then writing up what we found, good or bad.
That founding idea, going out and scouting casinos on players’ behalf, is still what the name CasinoScout reflects today.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help Australian players find online casinos that are safe, fairly licensed, and genuinely worth their time. We never steer a player toward a casino just because it pays a higher commission.

CasinoScout.io’s content is written and reviewed by a small team of dedicated casino reviewers:
- David Flack writes casino reviews and guides for CasinoScout.io. His focus is game selection, bonus terms, and banking options for Australian players, and he tests each casino’s cashier page directly before writing about it.
- Donald Duggan writes and updates CasinoScout.io’s casino comparisons and rankings. He keeps bonus terms and licensing details current across every listed casino, checking each one on a regular review cycle rather than publishing once and leaving it.
- Daniel Kim covers casino games and payment methods, with a focus on how quickly deposits and withdrawals actually clear at each operator.
Editorial Independence
CasinoScout.io’s reviews are guided by editorial independence (a commitment that money from operators doesn’t change how we rate or rank them). Casinos featured on this site may pay us a commission when a player signs up through our links. That arrangement never determines a casino’s score or its position in our rankings.
